abstract 1513223 1,3 - Dithiolo(4,5 - 6) - pyrazin - 2- ylidene propane dinitrile 4-oxide DOW CHEMICAL CO 11 Jan 1977 [15 Jan 1976] 00987/77 Heading C2C The novel compound 1,3-dithiolo (4,5-6)- pyrazin-2-ylidene propane dinitrile 4-oxide of the Formula I is obtained by reacting 2,3-dichloropyrazine-1- oxide with a di - (alkali metal mercapto)- methylenemalonitrile. The compound has fungicidal, algicidal and marine - anti-foulant activity. 2,3 - Dichloro pyrazine - 1 - oxide may be obtained by oxidizing 2,3-dichloropyrazine with potassium persulphate.
