titleOfInvention Pesticidally active thio-and dithiophosphoric acid esters
abstract 1512099 Phosphorothioates and -dithioates CIBA-GEIGY AG 19 Sept 1975 [20 Sept 1974 17 July 1975] 38557/75 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds I: where X is O or S; R<SP>1</SP> is Me or Et; R<SP>2</SP> is C 3-5 alkyl; R<SP>4</SP> is Ph or CH 2 CO 2 R<SP>5</SP>; and R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> are each C 1-5 alkyl, C 3-5 alkenyl, C 3-5 alkynyl, benzyl or α- or #-phenethyl. Compounds I are prepared: (i) by reacting II with III in the presence of an acid binding agent: (ii) by reacting IV with R<SP>1</SP>OH and R<SP>2</SP>SH in either order, or (iii) by reacting VIII (where M is Na or K) with R<SP>2</SP>-halogen. Pesticidal compositions comprise a compound I and a carrier.
