titleOfInvention Peristaltic pumps
abstract 1510976 Peristaltic fluid-machines SCOP SA 8 Aug 1975 33218/75 Heading F1F In a pump having a pumping tube 7, or 16, Figs. 1 and 2, held in tension so as to be compressed by rollers 5, which may extend between flanges 3 driven by a motor 22, the pull of the tube is balanced by a flexible and resilient member 12. Sliding tie-rods 15, or 20, inter-connect plates 11, 14, or 18, 19 to which the tube and said member are attached. Alternatively, a pair of flexible and resilient tubular members 17 are disposed on opposite sides of the tube and serve as additional pumping tubes. The rollers may be coupled to the motor shaft 2 by gearwheels, Fig. 3 (not shown). In another embodiment, Fig.4, the flexible and resilient member 40 is endless and passes twice over the rollers 32 on opposite sides of the pumping tube 39, the rollers being coupled to the motor shaft 37 by toothless wheels 31,36.
