titleOfInvention Acylated orgotein
abstract 1505879 Antiinflammatory compositions containing acylated orgotein DIAGNOSTIC DATA INC 19 Sept 1975 [20 Sept 1974] 38520/75 Heading A5B [Also in Division C3] A pharmaceutical preparation having antiinflammatory activity comprises an orgotein wherein the E-amino group of at least one lysine residue is acylated in admixture or conjunction with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The acyl radical may be derived from an aromatic, unsaturated or saturated aliphatic, araliphatic or cycloaliphatic, substituted or unsubstituted, monobasic or polybasic carboxylic acid having up to 18 carbon atoms, from a carbamic acid, from a heterocyclic acid, or from a sulphonic acid having up to 18 carbon atoms. The said preparation is preferably in the form of a sterile injectable solution or suspension for infusion, topical administration or esteral administration. In the Examples, the preparations also comprise (A) (G) dextrose, (B) (C) water or isotonic saline, (D) (F) sucrose, (E) phenol, tbimersol, methyl paraben, sodium azide or benzyl alcohol, (H) 21-sodium succinate ester of hydrocortisone, 21-sodium succinate ester of 6 - methylprednisolone, dexamethasone or betamethasone.
