abstract | 1500839 4 - Acylamino - anthrones and -anthraquinones BAYER AG 8 March 1976 [8 March 1975] 09183/76 Heading C2C 4 - Acylamino - anthrones are obtained by treating 2 - acylamino - 2<SP>1 </SP>- carboxy - diphenylmethanes with a 3-fold to 6-fold amount by wt. of sulphuric acid. Specified acyl radicals include acyl radicals derived from straight- or branchedchain (C 1 -C 18 ) aliphatic carboxylic acids, (C 8 -C 10 ) araliphatic carboxylic acids, (C 6 -C 11 ) cycloaliphatic carboxylic acids, aromatic carboxylic acids having up to 3 fused benzene nuclei and optionally substituted by halogen, NO 2 , SO 3 H, alkyl or alkoxy, or an aromatic or aliphatic sulphonic acids, and may also be methoxycarbonyl, ethoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl, CN, oxalyl, carbamoyl or dimethylcarbamoyl. 1 - Acylamino - anthraquinones are obtained by oxidizing a 4-acylamino-anthrones obtained by the above process. |
