abstract | 1498956 Silver carboxylates FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 8 Nov 1974 [9 Nov 1973 19 Feb 1974] 48518/74 Heading C2C [Also in Division G2] Silver laurate is prepared by emulsifying in water a solution of lauric acid in toluene and adding thereto an aqueous solution of silver nitrate. Silver behenate is prepared by mixing a solution of behenic acid in toluene with dilute nitric acid and adding thereto an aqueous solution of a silver ammonium complex salt. The resulting dispersion containing silver behenate separated into an aqueous and toluene phase; the aqueous phase was removed, and the toluene phase washed four times with water. Finally the silver behenate was obtained by centrifugal separation. |
