abstract | 1498285 Coated particles for animal feeds ASTRA-EWOS AB 30 April 1975 18023/75 Heading C1A [Also in Division A2] Trace element concentrates for animal feeds comprise a core of a granular mineral carrier (e.g. monocalcium phosphate or granulated snail or mussel shells) coated with a polyhydric alcohol binding agent (e.g. sorbitol or propylene glycol) and having as outermost layer a mixture of pulverulent trace minerals to supply required trace elements, e.g. Co, Cu, Mg, Mn, Zn, I, Fe and Se; vitamins may also be present in the outer layer. The amount of trace minerals is preferably 5-35% by weight of the concentrate. The concentrate may be prepared by mixing the carrier with a polyhydric alcohol and then with the pulverulent trace minerals. |
