1497590 Sulphoxide derivatives of cysteamine L'OREAL 30 Dec 1975 [31 Dec 1974] 53174/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel compounds for improving the appearance of the hair have the formula in which: R 1 represents a radical of the formula: R 3 represents an alkyl radical having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and R 2 represents a radical or a hydrogen atom, and when R 2 represents a hydrogen atom, the active compound is in the form of an addition salt of an inorganic or organic acid. The compounds may be made by oxidizing the corresponding thioethers with hydrogen peroxide. Alternatively the urea compounds may be made by reacting the corresponding amino-compounds with potassium cyanate. |
