abstract 1495665 Pyrimidine compounds PRODUITS CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 28 Jan 1975 [29 Jan 1974] 3579/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids, wherein R 1 and R 2 are each alkyl, benzyl or (possibly substituted) Ph, or NR 1 R 2 forms a heterocyclic ring; X is dialkylaminoalkyl or R 3 ; Y is Cl, alkoxy, dialkylaminoalkoxy or OR 4 ; and R 3 , R 4 are each a saturated N-heterocyclic ring. These compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding 4,6-dichloro- or 4-Cl-6-XO-pyrimidine with the appropriate alcohol. Therapeutic compositions which may be administered orally, parenterally or rectally comprise compounds of the above formula; they have hypoglycaemic, hypolipaemic, hypocholesteraemic, hypophospholipaemic, spasmolytic, coronarydilatory and analgesic activity.
