Cooling-appliances.-A patient's head is cooled by means of metal bands strapped to the forehead and formed with ribs serving to radiate heat. In the form shown, the appliance comprises a series of aluminium or silver bands a bent to form contact surfaces b and radiating surfaces or ribs c. The bands a are held together by means of notched strips f connected by transverse bars g, and their ends h are bent to engage wing pieces i having slots k for a fastening band.
