abstract 1490714 Deionizing liquids electrolytically ONTARIO CANCER INSTITUTE 20 Oct 1975 [31 Oct 1974] 47259/74 Heading C7B [Also in Division G2] Radiographic images are recorded as charge patterns on a dielectric foil 5 defining one surface of an electric field region 1 containing a liquid which is ionized by X or gamma radiation. Suitable liquids are tetra methyl lead, tetra methyl tin, tetra methyl bismuth, tetra-isobutyl tin or tetraethyl lead. Prior to use the liquid is stored in a purification chamber 7 where it is deionized by a field created between two electrodes 9a, 9b.
