1484781 Calcium phosphate compositions MITER Inc 21 Jan 1975 [25 Feb 1974] 2490/75 Heading C1A A composition for use in the dental procedures of pulp capping, root canal and tooth-replanting comprises a porous mass of a physiologically soluble and compatible (as defined) calcium phosphate compound as the active ingredient. Calcium phosphate compounds preferably used are α-phase Ca 3 (PO 4 ) 2 , #-phase Ca 3 (PO 4 ) 2 (Whitlockite), and CaHPO 4 (Brushite) or mixtures thereof. The porous mass of calcium compound may be prepared by sintering together particles of calcium phosphate compound into a unitary body, grinding the body into a grated particulate and adding a vehicle, in sufficient quantity, to form the porous mass. |
