1482782 Conditioning fabrics PROCTOR & GAMBLE CO 28 Oct 1974 [29 Oct 1973 19 Nov 1973] 46455/74 Heading DIP Fabric conditioning compositions and articles comprising water insoluble high melting (at least 38C) alcohols (including esteralcohols and ether alcohols), carboxylic acids, carboxylate salts or mixtures thereof, together with oil soluble nonionic surfactants (HLB of 11 or less) may be applied to wet fabrics in an automatic dryer, to impart a crisp feel or "scroop" thereto. The articles comprise the compositions in releasable combination with dispensing means e.g. enclosed within a cloth or paper bag or a hollow sponge, or coated on a sheet of paper or woven or non-woven fabric. The compositions may further comprise softening or antistatic agents, e.g. C 8-20 amines, imidazolines, quaternary ammonium salts and fatty amides, diluents e.g. oil, fats or waxes, and perfumes. |
