abstract | 1478240 Antibiotic gentamicin alkylsulphates LABORATORIOS HOSBON SA 23 May 1975 [29 May 1974] 22946/75 Heading ASB [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions having antibiotic activity comprise, as active ingredient, a gentamicin alkylsulphate of the general formula wherein d + e = m, R is H, R' is methyl, G is the remainder of a molecule of gentamicin, a = 6-10, n = 1 to a value equal to the number of amino groups of the correspondent gentamicin, m = 0 to a value lower in one unity to the maximum value of n, n + m being always equal to 4 or 5 according to the total number of amino groups of the correspondent gentamicin, b and c are 0 to n, b + c being always equal to n, and d and e are 0 to m, d + e being always equal to m, together with an inert solvent or excipient and may be administered parenterally or topically, e.g. as solutions, suspensions, creams, pomades or lotions. Additional possible active ingredient include lidocaine hydrochloride. |
