titleOfInvention | Water-insoluble azo dyestuffs containing triazine rings |
abstract | 1477064 Water-insoluble azo dyestuffs containing triazine rings BAYER AG 4 April 1975 [6 April 1974] 13922/75 Heading C4P Novel dyestuffs of the formula (wherein K is a mono- or bi-functional coupling component radical from the series of 2-hydroxynaphthalene - 3 - carboxylic acid arylamides, enolic coupling components and heterocyclic coupling components; R is H or alkyl; R 1 and R 2 are each H, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, hetero-aryl or aralkyl or NR 1 R 2 is a heterocyclic radical; R 3 and R 4 are each H or a substituent; and n is 1 or 2), which are free from CO 2 H and SO 3 H groups, are prepared by coupling appropriate triazinylamino-anilines with coupling components KH n . They may subsequently be after-treated, e.g. by heating in an organic solvent or in water with or without additives such as surface active agents, organic solvents or aliphatic amines, to improve their pigment properties. They may be used to pigment lacquers, printing inks, distempers and binder paints for the mass coloration of polymers and of paper. |
