abstract 1472022 Halo-bis-(thiocyanatomethylthio) pyridines DOW CHEMICAL CO 9 April 1975 [15 April 1974] 14600/75 Heading C2C Halo-bis-(thiocyanatomethylthio)pyridines of general formula where each X is the same as is either Cl or Br and n is 2 or 3, are prepared by reacting a compound of general formula with an alkali metal thiocyanate in the presence of a solvent at 105-150‹ C. In an example the compound 3,5,6 - trichloro - 2,6 - bis - (thiocyanatomethylthio)pyridine is prepared. Bactericidal and/or fungicidal compositions comprise a compound of Formula I in admixture with an inert carrier.
