abstract 1469745 Phenylethylamine derivatives SYNTHELABO 27 Aug 1975 [6 Sept 1974] 35419/75 Addition to 1415471 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein n is 0, 1 or 2 and m is an integer from 1 to 4, and their acid-addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable organic an inorganic acids. They may be obtained by condensing 1- (3 - trifluoromethylthiophenyl)propan - 2 - one with an amine of the formula and reducing the ethylidene-amino intermediate obtained, and optionally converting the base obtained into an acid-addition salt thereof. Pharmaceutical compositions having powerful anorexigenic properties comprise compounds of Formula II above or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a compatible pharmaceutical carrier, in forms suitable for oral administration.
