titleOfInvention Safety valves
abstract 1466935 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems BOPP & REUTHER GmbH 17 April 1974 [17 April 1973] 16865/74 Heading G3P Excess pressure in a duct 1 is relieved by valves 2 when elements 19, such as Bourdon tubes, open switches 20, de-energizing solenoid valves 14 which connect spaces 21 between twin diaphragms 23, 25 to atmosphere, the diaphragms being displaced by springs to operate valves 24, 26 which relieve loading pressure from spaces 6 at the same time as lifting pressure for the valves 2 is applied to spaces 7. The loading and lifting pressures are obtained through pressure reducers 9, 10 from a feed line 8 and are applied through lines 11, 15, 16 and 17 to the spaces 6 and 7. While the valves 14 are energized, the valves 24 and 26 are in the positions shown with the space 6 subjected to loading pressure and isolated from a vent 31 and the space 7 connected to a vent 29. Operation of the valves 24, 26 isolates the space 7 from the vent 29 and subjects it to lifting pressure and connects the space 6 to the vent 31.
