titleOfInvention Two equivalent type colour couplers containing carbamoyloxy groups at their active positions and their use in photography
abstract 1466728 Azo compounds which are colour couplers for photographic use KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 22 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 22825/74 Heading C4P [Also in Divisions C2 and G2] The invention comprises two-equivalent cyan couplers including the following azo compounds (a) 1 - hydroxy - 4 - [4 - (l<SP>1</SP> - hydroxy - 3<SP>1</SP>,6<SP>1</SP>- disulpho-2<SP>1</SP>-naphthyl azo)anilinocarbonyloxy]- N - n - dodecyl - 2 - naphthoamide di - sodium salt and (b) 1-hydroxy-4-[4-(2<SP>1</SP>-hydroxy-3<SP>1</SP>,6<SP>1</SP>- disulpho - 1 - naphthylazo)anilinocarbonyloxy]- N - [8 - (3<SP>11 </SP>- n - dodecyloxyphenoxy)butyl] - 2- naphthoamide di-sodium salt. Such compounds may be obtained by reacting a 1,4-dihydroxy-2- naphthoamide with p-nitrophenyl isocyanate, reducing the product and coupling with a disulphonaphthol. They may be incorporated into a photographic developer solution or a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer.
