abstract 1463944 Urethane derivatives BAYER AG 23 Sept 1975 [28 Sept 1974] 38923/75 Heading C3R [Also in Division C2] Urethanes which contain at least one group corresponding to the Formula II e.g. the novel compounds of the Formula I wherein m is from 1 to 6, n is zero or 1 to 4, R 1 is a C 2-6 aliphatic hydrocarbylene, R 2 and R 3 are hydrogen atoms or C 1-4 aliphatic, C 5-7 oycloaliphatic or C 6-10 aromatic hydrocarbon groups or R 2 and R 3 together complete a C 5-6 cycloaliphatic ring, R 4 is a C 2-6 aliphatic hydrocarbon group and R 5 represents a residue of an organic isocyanate (R 5 (NCO) m+n ), are prepared by reacting organic isocyanates with appropriate hydroxy compounds, in an OH/ NCO ratio of from 4 : 1 to 1 : 20. Polyurethanes may be obtained from the compounds of the above Formula I.
