abstract 1462892 Objectives RANK ORGANISATION Ltd 25 Sept 1975 [2 Oct 1974] 42738/74 Heading G2J In a three lens objective, the front lens is a positive meniscus having a convex front surface, the second lens is divergent and is spaced behind the first lens by a distance not greater than 0.35F, where F is the focal length of the whole objective, and the third lens is convergence and is spaced from the second lens by a distance of between 0.2F and 0.95F, the first and third lenses being made of silicon while the second lens is made of zinc sulphide or arsenic trisulphide. Optical data of two examples are given.
