abstract | 1460967 Azo pigment compositions IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 Feb 1975 [4 March 1974] 9581/74 Heading C4P A pigment composition comprises a mixture of an insoluble monoazo colouring matter of the formula wherein A is the residue of a diazotable aromatic or heterocyclic monoamine of formula A-NH 2 and R is an optionally substituted aromatic radical, with from 0À1% to 30% of another insoluble monoazo colouring matter of the same general formula above wherein A is the same residue as above but R is a different optionally-substituted aromatic radical. The pigment compositions may contain rosin, and may be used for the pigmentation of paint, e.g. polyvinyl acetate emulsion, or oil paint or printing inks by conventional methods. |
