abstract 1458039 Aluminium hydroxy halide powders HOECHST AG 21 Dec 1973 [23 Dec 1972] 59646/73 Heading C1A An aluminium hydroxy chloride or bromide powder is produced by spraying an aqueous solution of a basic aluminium bromide or chloride into a spray dryer, while maintaining a relative humidity value for the waste gas in the range of 20-40%. The compound normally has the formula Al 2 (OH) n X z , where X represents halogen, n is between 3À0 and 5À1, and the sum of n + z = 6. The powder may be used in a cosmetic, shaving or antiperspirant preparation. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,335,631.
