abstract | 1457643 Feed supplements S A R A P "CEDIA" 6 Aug 1974 34630/74 Heading A2B A granulated animal feed supplement is made by adding to a mixer porous granules of 0.2-2 mm size of mono- and/or dicalcium phosphate, capable of absorbing 8-10% of their wt. of liquid and then adding trace elements and vitamins as a powder and mixing, then adding an appetite promoting liquid selected from molasses, glucose, syrups, yeast autolysates or soya bean lecithin, or a fatty substance, and mixing and finally adding to the mixer a dessicating, coating substance which may be selected from anhydrous dicalcium phosphate or anhydrous magnesium hydroxide. Prior to the addition of the liquid other additive may be included, selected from calcium salts, marine limestone, magnesium salts and oxides, sodium salts and ammonium phosphate. Sorbitol may be added with the liquid. |
