abstract 1457299 Water supplies IDEAL-STANDARD Ltd 2 April 1974 [4 April 1973] 14658/74 Heading E1X A sanitary appliance comprises a body which includes a bowl, at least one water control valve in a supply line to a water delivery outlet for delivering water to the bowl, the or each control valve being mounted within the body in a recess or cavity of the body so that the or each valve is concealed and is remote from the bowl and its surround, and a manual control element, which is connected with the valve or one of the valves for operating the latter and which is arranged exteriorly of the body at a side wall thereof. Preferably the element 5 controls amixing valve 3 to regulate flow therefrom. also associated with the mixing valve 3 is a manually operable element 4 allowing of regulation of a thermostatic sensing means associated with the mixing valve which receives hot and cold water from valves 12, 11 and delivers the mix of waters to an outlet 9. The valves 11, 12 are actuated by a sensing device 13 that is activated by the presence of a user of the device. Specification 1457300 is referred to.
