abstract 1457217 Hydrotropic salts of sulphonated aromatic compounds REWO CHEMISCHE FABRIK GmbH 12 March 1975 [12 March 1974] 10265/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division B1] The invention comprises hydrotropic materials comprising from 65 to 90% by weight of hydrotropic salts of sulphonated aromatic compounds therein, the balance being essentially water, in solid disintegrate form. The materials may be obtained in this form by concentrating an aqueous solution of said hydrotropic salts by evaporating water therefrom while liquid at an elevated temperature to a concentration of hydrotropic substance within the range of from 65 to 90% by wt., cooling the resultant concentrate to form a solid mass which is thereafter mechanically comminuted to form a disintegrate. Specified hydrotropic materials are salts of sulphonated aromatic compounds or mixtures thereof.
