titleOfInvention | Colour photographic silver halide emulsion and colour coupler dispersion |
abstract | 1456278 Coupler dispersions for photographic silver halide emulsions MITSUBISHI PAPER MILLS Ltd 28 Jan 1974 [30 Jan 1973] 03893/74 Heading G2C A coupler dispersion comprises a coupler and a polymer having side chains attached to vinyl groups which form the polymer backbone, each molecule of the polymer having a side chain content of carboxyl, amide and optionally substituted imidazole groups. Each molecule of the polymer optionally has in a side chain a N-(1, 1-dimethyl- 3-oxolut-1-yl) aminocarbonyl group. The polymer may have a polymerization degree of 500-2000. The dispersion may be a silver halide emulsion (see Example 1 and 2). The emulsion may be coated with a U.V. absorbing agent dispersed in a similar polymer (see Example 3). The polymer may be used to disperse a stain inhibitor e.g. 2, 5- di-tert-butylhydroquinone or 2, 6-di-tert-butyl-pcresol, or a scavenger e.g. 2, 5-di-tert-octylhydroquinone. |
