titleOfInvention | Process for producing a therapeutic composition |
abstract | 1453616 Stabilized therapeutic solutions CYBERSOL Inc 26 Nov 1973 [27 Nov 1972] 54773/73 Heading A5B Injectable aqueous solutions comprising, in millimoles per litre, 75-150 of sodium cation, 5- 50 of potassium cation, 5-50 of bicarbonate ion and 75-150 of chloride ion, and having an osmolality of 170-460 and a pH of 6-8.5, are stabilised against changes in their ionic composition and pH by confinement and bottling under an atmosphere comprising CO 2 , at a partial pressure substantially equal to the CO 2' partial pressure produced from equilibrium with the bicarbonate ions within the solution, and an inert gas, e.g. nitrogen. In particular such solutions for use as plasma extenders are so treated. |
