titleOfInvention | Method for the production of cellulose-based fibres and polynosic fibres having a high resistance to combustion and fibres and textile articles obttained thereby |
abstract | 1449865 Phosphorus and nitrogen containing cellulosic fibres SNIA VISCOSA SOC NAZIONALE INDUSTRIA APPLICAZIONI VISCOSA SpA 25 Oct 1973 [26 Oct 1972] 49785/73 Heading C3F Flame retardent cellulosic fibres are made by wet spinning an alkaline aqueous solution of cellulose xanthate which contains a phosphorus and nitrogen containing compound produced by the reaction of a phosphonium compound with amino acids and with ammonia or amines. The preferred phosphonium compound is tetrakis hydroxy methyl phosphonium chloride which may be reacted with aminoacetic, sulphanylic, p-aminobenzoic, 12-aminododecanoic, 6-aminohexanoic, α-aminoisovaleric or α-aminopropionic acid and monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, cyclohexylamine or ethylenediamine, to produce an alkaline solution, to which carbon disulphide may be added, containing the required phosphorus and nitrogen containing compound which may be stabilized with H 2 O 2 . |
