titleOfInvention Polyfluoroalkylarylamines and processes for their preparation
abstract 1448701 Polyfluoroalkylarylamines PRODUITS CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 2 Nov 1973 [3 Nov 1972] 50911/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the general formula wherein R is hydrogen, alkyl or alkoxy; R 1 is hydrogen, chlorine, alkyl, alkoxy, acrylamino or a diene group linked to the benzene nucleus to form a naphthalene nucleus; R 2 is hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or cyanoethyl, and n is 2. They may be prepared by condensation of a polyfluoro compound of formula where Hal is chlorine, bromine or iodine, either with an amine of the formula or with an amine of the formula and in this second case optionally treating the resulting product with an alkylating agent Y-R 2 where Y is the anion of a mineral acid or with a hydroxyalkyl halide, an epoxide or acrylonitrile.
