titleOfInvention Method of detecting immunoglobulin or antigens -or haptens-
abstract 1448613 Labelled polypeptides PHARMACIA AB 25 June 1974 [28 June 1973] 28103/74 Heading C3H [Also in Division G1] A polypeptide which has been obtained from Staphylococci, e.g. Staphylococcus aureus or Staphytococcus epidermis, is capable of binding to the Fc-portion of an immunoglobulin G and has been labelled with one or more analytically indicatable atom or atoms, group or groups, e.g. radioactive, coloured, fluorescent, free radical containing or enzymatically active atoms or groups, may be used for qualitatively or quantitatively indicating an immunoglobulin G or an antigen or hapten capable of binding to the Fabportion of an immunoglobulin G by contacting in any order the immunoglobulin G, the antigen or hapten and the polypeptide, followed by analysis of the reaction mixture. Preferably the polypeptide is labelled by treating with fluoresceinisothiocyanate, with <SP>125</SP>I or with peroxidase.
