titleOfInvention Method of removing organo lead from organic liquids
abstract 1445125 Ion-exchange ROHM-HAAS CO 24 Aug 1973 [5 Sept 1972] 40122/73 Heading B1J [Also in Divisions C4 and C5] Organo lead compounds are removed from organic liquids by contacting with a particulate strongly acidic macroreticular ion-exchange resin in the free acid or metal salt form. Gasoline containing added tetramethyl and/or tetraethyl lead can be treated by disposing the resin in a fuel storage system or in a fuel feed system. Many suitable ion-exchange resins, which can be derived from copolymers of divinylbenzene with ethylvinylbenzene and/or styrene, are exemplified.
