In examples, these compounds are prepared by reacting either 1- naphthol with 1 - (3 - chloropropyl) - 4 - XC 6 H 4 - piperazine, or 1 - (3 - bromopropoxy) - naphthalene with 1-XC 6 (H 4 -piperazine. Therapeutic compositions having bloodpressure lowering, and thus antihypertensive activity, comprise compounds of the above formula, and are preferably administered orally.
