1429697 Production of isonitrosomalonic esters TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KK 24 Oct 1973 [24 Oct 1972] 49423/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the general Formula I: wherein B is -COOR<SP>1</SP> or X is O or S and R and R<SP>1</SP> are the same or different and represent straight-chain, branched chain, or saturated cyclic alkyl groups having up to 20 carbon atoms and which may be unsubstituted or substituted by C 1-4 alkoxy or halogen. The compounds of Formula I can be converted into compounds of Formula II wherein X, R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are as above, by means of a nitrosating agent. The compounds of Formula II may be further converted by reduction to the corresponding aminomalonic acid esters of the general formula |
