1428540 Pigmented plastics MITSUI TOATSU CHEMICALS Inc 24 July 1973 [28 July 1972] 35275/73 Headings C3R and C3P [Also in Division D1] In Example 5 unmodified melamine formaldehyde resin is mixed with a sulphonamide resin, melted, heated to 170-180‹ C. when the pigment 2,3-benzo-6-hydroxy-11-aminonaphthacenequinone 5,12 was added, the mixture then being cooled and crushed giving a red pigment. In Examples 4 and 6 p.v.c. mixed with dioctylphthalate is mixed with 6,11-dihydroxynaphthacenequinone-5,12 heated and pressed between plates to yield an orange coloured sheet, and polystyrene is mixed at 180‹ C. with 6 - amino - 11 - anilino - naphthacenequinone- 5,12 and formed into a sheet by pressing between plates. |
