abstract | 1428497 L-Glutamine AJINOMOTO CO Inc 14 Dec 1973 [16 Dec 1972] 57984/73 Heading C2C L-Glutamine is produced by culturing an L-glutamine-producing mutant which belongs to one of the genera Brevibacferium, Corynebacterium and Aficrobacterium and which is resistant to at least one sulfa drug for example sulfapyridine, sulfathiazole, phthalylsulfathiazole, sulfadiazine, sulfaguanidine, sulfamethazine, sulfamerazine, sulfadimethoxine,sulfamethomidine, sulfamethoxypryidazine, sulfisomidine, sulfisoxazole, acetosulfamine, sulfanylamide, sulfisomezole, sulfaphenazole, sulfamethizole, sulfaethiodole, sulfapyrazine, irgafen or irgamide under aerobic conditions in an aqueous culture medium containing assimilable sources of carbon and nitrogen and inorganic salts until L-glutamine accumulates in the medium; and recovering accumulated L-glutamine from the culture medium. |
