1420896 Process for 2,5-disubstituted benzamides SOC D'ETUDES SCIENTIFIQUES ET INDUSTRIELLES DE L'ILE - DEFRANCE 26 Feb 1974 [2 March 1973] 8668/74 Headings C2C and C2P Compounds of Formula (I) are made by reacting a 2,5-disubstituted benzoic acid with triphenyltrichloromethylphosphonium chloride (obtained by treating Ph 3 P with CCl 4 ) to give compounds of Formula (III); (III) is then heated to give the acid chloride (IV) which is thereafter reacted with H 2 N(CH 2 ) n A (I may, if desired, be converted into salts; A is mono- or di-C 1-5 alkylamino, or a heterocyclic saturated ring containing N, O and/or S, B is C 1-5 alkyl or alkenyl, n is 1 or 2 and X is NH 2 , mono- or dialkylamino, alkenyl or alkyl). A is, e.g. diethylamino or a group of Formula (II) where R is C 1-5 alkyl or alkenyl and m is 1 to 3, especially a 1-ethyl-2-pyrrolidyl group. |
