abstract | 1420800 Phosphorus-containing oximino derivatives SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 7 Dec 1973 [8 Dec 1972] 56955/73 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds of the general formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> is an alkyl (C 1 -C 4 ) group; R<SP>2</SP> is an alkyl (C 1 -C 4 ), alkyl (C 1 -C 4 )-thioalkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ), alkoxy - (C 1 -C 4 ) - alkyl - (C 2 -C 4 ), cycloalkyl- (C 3 -C 6 ), alkenyl - (C 2 -C 5 ) or halogenated alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ) group; R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> may be joined together via a -(CH 2 ) k -linkage, in which k is an integer of 4 or 5, to form a ring structure which may be substituted with a methyl group for a nucleus hydrogen; R<SP>3</SP> is an alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ) group; and R<SP>4</SP> is an alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ), alkenyl- (C 2 -C 5 ), alkynyl-(C 2 -C 5 ), alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 )-thioalkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ), alkoxy-(C 1 -C 4 )-alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ), halogenated alkenyl-(C 2 -C 5 ), carbamoylmethyl of the formula (wherein R<SP>5</SP> is a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl- (C 1 -C 4 ) or alkenyl-(C 2 -C 5 ) group; R<SP>6</SP> is a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ) or alkenyl- (C 2 -C 5 ) group; and R<SP>5</SP> and R<SP>6</SP> may be joined together via a -(CH 2 ) l group, in which I is an integer of 4 or 5 to form a ring structure which may have a methyl group substituent, alkoxycarbonyl alkyl of the formula in which R<SP>7</SP> is C 1 -C 4 alkyl and R<SP>8</SP> is H, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or phenyl, or is a group wherein A is H, halogen, NO 2 , CH 3 O or when m is 2 is a methylenedioxy group, m is 1 or 2, and n is 1, 2 or 3. They may be obtained either (a) by reacting wherein M is an alkali metal with a halo compound R<SP>4</SP>X where X is halogen, the reaction being carried out in the presence of a solvent, or (b) by reacting a chloride: wherein R<SP>9</SP> is C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy-(C 1 -C 4 )- alkyl-(C 1 -C 4 ) with an oxime: to give a product of the formula the reaction being suitably effected in an inert organic solvent and in the presence of an acid binding agent. The products have pesticidal, including insecticidal and nematocidal, properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. |
