titleOfInvention Positive working presensitized planographic printing plate precursor
abstract 1419643 Photo-sensitive materials for printing plates FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 9 May 1973 [9 May 1972] 22210/73 Heading G2C A photo-sensitive material useful for producing positive printing plates comprises a support, a layer of a photo-sensitive or photo-sensitized polyester, e.g. as in Specification 1297999, a layer of a silicone primer, e.g. an organo silane and a hardened silicone rubber layer. The polyester is preferably a condensation product of p-phenylene diacrylic acid or ester and a cyclohexane containing two hydroxyl groups. The silicone rubber layer is applied and heated to complete curing and the material is imagewise exposed and developed with butyrolactone to remove the unexposed areas, inked (the ink being repelled by the silicone rubber areas) to produce a positive printing plate.
