titleOfInvention Data presenter for determining deviations from normal ion values in serum
abstract 1410154 Determining ion dosages from serum electrolyte data DR ROTTA GmbH & CO 31 July 1973 [8 Aug 1972] 36446/73 Heading G4B A device for indicating the levels of various serum electrolyte ions (sodium, magnesium, potassium, chloride and bicarbonate) to be administered to a patient, knowing the concentrations of such ions in the patient's blood before such administering, comprises semicircular arrays 2 of tabulated figures, each array corresponding to a particular ion and having associated therewith a pivoted pointer 3. Fig. 4 shows the sodium ion array. The pointer is aligned with the measured sodium ion concentration on the outermost scale and the dosage is then read off beneath the cursor line of the pointer on the semicircular scale corresponding to the patient's weight.
