abstract | 1407008 Vanadium oxytrichloride FEMIPARI KUTATO INTEZET 16 Oct 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 47549/72 Heading C1A Continuous production of vanadium oxychloride by evaporating a vanadium tetrachloride containing not more than 20% vanadium oxychloride, mixing the vapour with preheated air in a 20-80% excess and burning the mixture in a flame reactor at 400‹ to 450‹ C. and condensing the VOCl 3 vapours obtained. The condensed vapours may be further purified by distillation. Apparatus consisting of a VCl 4 /VOCl 3 container, an evaporator, a means for drying and preheating the air and a flame reactor is also claimed. |
