titleOfInvention Composition for detecting succinodehydrogenase activity
abstract 1401896 Detecting cancerous cells LUCIEN INTERNATIONAL 2 July 1973 [7 Aug 1972] 31321/73 Heading G1B A composition, suitable for use in detecting the succinodehydrogenase activity of cancerous . cells, consists of two components maintained separately under nitrogen, the first component being a powder mixture of 5 parts by weight of sodim succinate, and 50 parts by weight of triphenyltetrazolium chloride, and the second component being a solution of methylene blue in a phosphate buffer, the pH of the solution being 7.2 and the solution containing 0.75 mg of methylene blue per 100 ml of buffer. The first component may further contain ascorbic acid. The first and second components are mixed to form an incubation medium, suitable for use in a test to detect succinodehydrogenase activity in cancerous cells.
