titleOfInvention Pre-sensitized lithoprinting plate
abstract 1400337 Lithographic plate FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 2 Nov 1973 [2 Nov 1972] 51103/73 Heading G2C An unexposed lithographic plate comprises a support having a coating of up to 10 microns thick comprising a mixture of a positive or negative working photo-sensitive material and a silicone rubber in a ratio of 0.2-1.1 to 1. The support may be of aluminium, zinc or iron plate, polymer film or laminated paper and may be subbed with a silicone primer. The photo-sensitive material may be 2-diazo-1-naphthol-5-sulphonic ester of polymeric pyrogalloe/acetone condensation product, a poly condensate of p-phenylenediacryclic acid with 1, 4-dihydroxyethylcyclohexane, poly (cinnamoyloxyethlyl methacrylate), or 2, 6-di (4'-azidobenzal)-cyclohexanone. The silicone rubber may be of one-shot dealcohol, deacetic acid, deoxine or deamino type, or of two-shot addition or condensation type. The coating composition may be applied in methylethyl or methylisobutyl ketone or cyclohexanone. The rubber may be cured by heating at 100-150‹C for 5-30 minutes.
