abstract | 1398103 Cyclopropane carboxylate derivatives SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 31 Aug 1972 40431/72 Heading C2C Novel cyclopropane carboxylate derivatives have the general formula wherein A is an optionally alkyl-substituted oxazole or isoxazole ring or an oxadiazole ring; Z is a benzyl group optionally substituted by a halogen atom or by an alkyl group; R is an alkyl group; R 1 and R 2 are halogen atoms or alkyl groups, or when A is other than an oxazole ring, R 1 is hydrogen and R 2 is an alkenyl group, and are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with a compound of the formula (III) wherein one of the groups X and Y is halogen and the other is a hydroxy group. The reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of a hydrogen halide acceptor. The novel compounds possess pesticidal properties. |
