abstract | 1396526 Disazo pigments CIBA-GEIGY AG 5 Sept 1972 [10 Sept 1971] 41181/72 Heading C4P [Also in Division C3] New disazo pigments of formula wherein X is H or halogen, a C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy CF 3 , CN, NO 2 , CONH 2 or C 1-5 alkoxycarbonyl group, Y is H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl or CF 3 group and Z is Cl or a CH 3 or CF 3 group are prepared coupling appropriate diazotized amines (2 moles) with 1 mole of an appropriate 1,4-bisacetoacetylaminobenzene. They are used to colour paints, inks, lacquers, natural and synthetic polymers (see Division C3), in yellow shades. |
