| abstract | 1393321 Control of mycoplasma in animals W A CLEARY CORP 30 July 1973 36266/73 Heading A5B A method of combating mycoplasma infection in an animal comprises feeding the animal with a non-toxic feed containing a safe but effective amount of a tetra alkyl thiuram disulphide in which the alkyl radicals each contain from 1 to 3 carbon atoms. The disulphide also. causes growth promotion. The disulphide may be added in an amount between 30 and 80 p.p.m. to poultry less than a week old, and after one week increasing the dosage to 80 to 200 p.p.m. The preferred disulphide is tetra methyl thiuram disulphide. |
