abstract | 1385563 Aminophthalazine derivatives and pharmaceutical uses thereof ASPRO-NICHOLAS Ltd 31 Aug 1973 [15 June 1972] 27949/72 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> represents -CF 3 , n represents 0 or an integer, R 3 and R 4 independently represent hydrogen, halogen or -CF 3 provided that when n represents 0 at least one of R 3 and R 4 is other than hydrogen, or an acid addition or quaternary ammonium salt thereof. These compounds may be obtained by treating a compound of formula with an electron withdrawing leaving group, e.g. halogen, or alkyl- or phenyl-thio, -sulphinyl or -sulphonyl group, with dimethylamine and if desired, converting the resultant product into an acid addition salt or quaternary ammonium salt thereof. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition which contains as an active ingredient a compound according to the invention together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. |
