titleOfInvention | Method of preparing a microporous sheet and the microporous sheet itself |
abstract | 1381310 Microporous coating W R GRACE & CO 30 June 1972 [15 July 1971] 30884/72 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions C3 and H1] A laminate consists of a mat of glass fibres attached to at least one surface of a microporous sheet comprising a thermoset reaction product of a water-soluble phenol formaldehyde condensate with 1-50%, by wt of condensate, of an amine containing at least one -NH- group, e.g. monoethanolamine and/or diethanolamine. The laminate is made in the example by pouring a mixture of the resin/ amine condensate, water, silica and an acid curing agent onto a mat of glass fibres, sandwiching this mixture between two glass plates and solidifying it by heating, removing the glass plates, washing the sheet in water and then heating it to remove volatile materials therein. |
