abstract | 1375736 Electro-chemical analysis F HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE & CO A G 16 Nov 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 53049/71 Heading G1N A "printed circuit" electrode construction comprises a thin layer U-shaped anode 13 (e.g. of silver) surrounding a U-shaped cathode 20 (e.g of gold or platinum) and a reference-electrode strip of silver-silverchloride. These thin layers are deposited on a wafer 11 e.g. of silicon. A thermistor 25, for temperature compensation, may be formed on the other side of the wafer. The electrodes may be mounted in a casing, having an oxygen-permeable diaphragm Fig. 2 (not shown), which in turn is mounted in a catheter, illustrated as inserted in a vein Fig. 3 (not shown). |
