titleOfInvention Triazolobenzodiazepine derivatives
abstract 1374470 1 - Halomethyl - s - triazolo- [4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepines TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KK 9 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 20277/74 Divided out of 1374469 Heading C2C Novel compounds II in which X is halogen, the rings A and B are unsubstituted or substituted by one or more halogen atoms or nitro, trifluoromethyl, alkyl or alkoxy groups and the 5-N-oxides thereof are prepared by reacting a compound III or its 4-N-oxide with X-CH 2 -CH(OR 3 ) 3 in which R 3 is C 1 -C 3 alkyl. Compounds prepared are the N-oxides in which X is bromo; ring A is substituted by 8-chloro, 8-trifluoromethyl or 8-nitro; and ring B is unsubstituted or substituted by p-chloro. Compound II in which X is bromo and ring A is substituted by 8-chloro and ring B is unsubstituted is also prepared. Compounds II are used in pharmaceutical compositions together with a carrier or diluent.
